NEW YORK, NY (January 8, 2018) – The network has renewed its new hit, “MTV Floribama Shore.” On the heels of its second consecutive quarter of YoY growth – MTV’s best streak in six years – the network has greenlit 20 new episodes slated to premiere globally, beginning this summer.
“Floribama Shore” is pacing as the number one original cable series in its time period (Monday 10:00 p.m.) and was MTV’s highest rated new series premiere in over three years. The current season is averaging a 1.43 L3 rating among adults P18-34.
In tonight’s season finale, “Cuddle Puddle,” the housemates invite their parents to join them at the beach and things get surprisingly out of control. Later, the gang looks back at the summer of trials and tribulations, laughs and lessons as they leave with their lives forever changed.
Set in the Florida Panhandle along the beach that stretches all the way to Alabama, “MTV Floribama Shore” is the story of eight young adults who come to spend the summer in the hottest beach town on the Gulf Coast, Panama City Beach, to party it up and put the real world on hold for just a little bit longer. This coming of age story captures the very real thrill and angst of being young and trying to figure out the future with a group of people you’ll come to call family.
The party continues at @FloribamaShore all winter long on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
495 Productions Founder & CEO SallyAnn Salsano and Drew Tappon serve as Executive Producers for “MTV Floribama Shore.” Nina L. Diaz and Jackie French serve as Executive producers for MTV.
