Jasmine was born and raised in Yonkers and for the past 16 years has been earning a living tattooing in the Bronx. She realized at a very young age she wanted to become a tattoo artist. At 15, she begged the owner of Champion Tattoo for a job. He said no, but she didn’t give up. Every day for months she returned and asked for a job. Eventually she was hired as the shop runner, and eventually apprenticed with the owner. Despite tattooing being a predominately male industry, Jasmine was undeterred and slowly built her reputation as one of the top artist at the shop.
This rising star prides herself in her artistic versatility and the ability to ink a complex tattoo in a short period of time. She’s known for her neo-traditional art and her elaborate script writing.
Big Gus was born and raised in the streets of Los Angeles. His mother was an artist and would always encourage him to draw, paint, and trace as a young child. Big Gus’ mother gave him his first set of paint brushes at the young age of 5 years old. He grew up with a rough crowd and began tagging the Los Angeles Riverbed with his graffiti art. He began tattooing at the age of 14 when gang members noticed and admired his talents and asked him to start inking their member. He started tattooing professionally at age 22 and has become world renown for his specialty — black and grey photorealism.
His work has garnered over 300 awards and he has a two year waiting list at his Southern California studio, Art Junkies. His celebrity clientele include football players, motocross riders, rock stars and rappers.
Tommy is best known as a finalist on the first season of Spike’s tattoo competition series, Ink Masters. He graduated the toy design program at FIT. He has been tattooing for over 17 years and currently has a two year wait list at his studio – Empire State Tattoo. His influences include Maxfield Parrish, Miller The Bird and Gemenos and many Eastern European tattoo artists which are reflected in the tattoos he creates with bold colors and intricate details. He not only known for his cover up, but his technically sound tattoos.
A perfectionist at heart, he prides himself in giving the customer not just a tattoo, but a piece of artwork and making sure the client is absolutely satisfied with the experience.
